To get well out of my comfort zone and force myself to find new ways to 'see' things, in 2018 for a winter project I decided to make a new list of favourites from my old photo archive, ditch colour and see what happened.
Conclusions: interesting but I think 'monochrome' could be best looked at separately and refined. Also, I am not sure I like images that are not contained within some sort of context! [journalistic?]
After all, the whole point of my images is to tell some sort of story and/or evoke curiosity. 'pretty pictures' are NOT my objective!
Currently, the focus is on being able to produce the best overall image quality for any given 'context' in the future.
